Jonathan C. Allen
Jonathan C. Allen is Senior Trial Counsel with the Law Offices of Arthur K. Smith, where he focuses his practice in civil litigation and first party insurance defense in matters involving personal injury, products liability and premises liability. Mr. Allen has served as lead counsel in a wide variety of cases, ranging from the simple automobile collision and common slip and fall, to the complex products liability suit, arson claim, or commercial dispute. He also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to contract interpretation and insurance coverage analysis. Mr. Allen is preferred legal counsel for major insurance carriers and has been selected as a Texas Rising Star in the fields of Civil Litigation and Insurance Coverage since 2006.
A native of Longview, Mr. Allen graduated magna cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1994 and earned his Juris Doctorate degree summa cum laude from Texas Tech School of Law in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Allen served on the Law Review and was a member of the Board of Barristers and the Law School's National Moot Court Team. He is a member of the Texas Tech Chapter of the scholastic honor society Order of the Coif.
